My name is Bill Riggles III and my father Bill Jr. was a mechanical engineer that developed other people's ideas into reality. People would "invent" things and he would sketch their idea for them as they described it. If it wasn't going to work, he would find a way it would. At the U.S. Patent Office William M. Riggles Jr.'s name appears on thousands if not, tens of thousands of patent drawing as the illustrator. From the earliest I can remember and into my father's 80s his side work was developing other peoples ideas and doing the patent drawings officially filed with the patent office. But he had his own ideas. When my father passed away April 2009, everything he developed was left to me. One item in particular was a system of oil containment. This system I will not only share with the public and declare it public domain; I will donate this site to development of the whole concept; as an open source idea to be improved on. Why? It's the fastest way to be effective in getting this concept in use. Simple as that. Communities need to put their heads together and come up with a plan to protect their personal property. To the businesses already making oil booms, I say come aboard and contribute. It's a game of R&D (Rob & Duplicate); I don't believe anybody can patent the concept I propose. Testing the patentable systems takes time to develop; so if it goes public, many people will work together and share "what works". What I want in return is YOUR feedback; ideas, pictures, video, drawings and anything else I can post that will help others make emergency barriers that stop oil. I watch the oil boom equipment they are using today and my father had a system that will deploy at least 4 times faster, works in heavy waves and cost a fraction to manufacture. More important; smaller versions can be made right on your living room floor with a few inexpensive items to save your very expensive items. If you come to this site in panic, I am creating the concept page for an overall idea of what might work for your particular situation. This page will ouline everything with drawings, diagrams, images, text and video. A simplified how-to guide if you will. The development section is all the data and raw input coming back from you. You Tube videos, photos, drawings and sketches will be welcome! Each item will have it's own section for development and ideas coming back from readers. It's possible to start a blog to discuss ideas! Links, will be links to buy supplies and find other sources of information. I am currently working on the concept and development pages. I want to open this site clear and organized. Site is Under
Construction!
